Marco Pannella is on hunger and thirst strike for Italy go back and be a democracy.

On 23 June the left-leaning newspaper il Manifesto published a picture of Marco Pannella on the cover with the title “his prisons”.

On Tusday June 21st a group of members of the NRPTT to end the censorship surrounding Pannella's iniziative projected the video below on the building seat of RAI (the Italian public broadcasting system) in which Pannella calls for an Amnesty to allow the Italian Republic to go back to be a full-fledged democracy. The video was eventually projected on the oldest Roman prison of Regine Coeli and the Ministry of Justice. The demonstration was eventually stopped by the police....

St. Petersburg bans PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED?!

That's right, St.Petersburg metropolitan officially banned physically challenged people from accessing the public underground transportation.

This outrageous act of discrimination against physically challenged people has been explained by the St. Petersburg metro's management as a "necessary measure" which was CAUSED by the fact that the WHOLE CITY METRO SYSTEM of the St.Petersburg city is NOT, quote unquote "handicapped accessible" - although hundreds of the physically challenged citizens of St.Petersburg use it on a daily basis.

For example, Eugenea Goorova, a student of St. Petersburg University was forbidden from accessing the metropolitan station just yesterday, after she got an A mark at the annual exams and was going home - !because she was in a wheel-chair!.

This goes against all moral and/or common senses! I would like if the people on the Internet who would read this would sign a petition to the St.Petersburg mayor to stop this outrageous abuse of human rights.
Thank you.

WTO?

I hope Georgia will block Russia's entering in the WTO. State-aggressor must be prosecuted for de-facto annexion of Georgian territories.

R.I.P.

Elena Bonner has died yesterday. Her activity in the field of human rights was such great and well-known...

But I like her also for the principal position in the field of struggle against anti-smoking fascistic paranoia in the USA, etc.

Uyghurs should be treated according to international norms both at home and elsewhere. Kazakhstan must stop Ershidin's extradition to China

Statement by Senator Marco Perduca, co-vicepresident of the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty:

"The ordeal of Ershidin Israel, an Uyghur currently in Kazakhstan who for some time has enjoyed the protection of the UN High Commissioner for Refugee, seems to have reached a tragic end: deportation towards China. For reasons that remain unknown to the public Mr. Ershidin has been stripped of the status he was granted by UNHCR and will therefore be handed over to Chinese authorities by the Nazarbayev government soon. As the many precedents tell us, Uyghurs, once back in China, suffer harsh prosecution if not executions.....

Radical Party Special Statement.

There is no connection whatsoever nor poltical or ideal contact between Serbia Radical Party of war criminal Voislav Seseli, that is demonstrating in Belgrade in support of Radko Mladic and the Nonviolent Radical Party, Transnational and Transparty that since the early 1990s has campaigned to creat the ad hoc International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, collaborating, together with No Peace Without Justice, on the gathering of evidence to indict the supreme chief of the intra-Yogoslav aggressions Slobodan Milosevic.

The NRPTT therefore urges the media to specify such a dinstiction.

Rest In Peace, dear doctor!

Jack Kevorkian, the controversial American doctor who claimed to have assisted more than 100 suicides, has died aged 83.

To his critics, he was Dr Death. To other detractors, Jack the Dripper.

Kevorkian was given plenty of nicknames after receiving international attention in the 1990s, throughout which he waged a defiant campaign to help people end their lives.

But to his supporters, he became the poster boy for legislative reform....
